My Trip to Greece!
For the second summer in a row, I have traveled to Greece to take a class in the Greek language, which I've been studying for several years now.
Accompanying me for part of the trip was my dear friend Marilyn, as well as daughter/photographer Caroline, who served as my personal papparazza. (Above) Marilyn and I cracking up at the Acropolis Museum (yes, that's the actual Acropolis in the background!).
Greek is spoken with the hands as well as the mouth...
Students came from all over the world to Omilo, the school of Greek language and culture on the island of Syros. And in my class of seven, there were five teachers -- I guess teachers like to be students, too :)

Strolling in Hermoupolis with one of my teachers, Eva. The capital of the Cycladic islands, Hermoupolis is a walker's paradise with its colorful shops, outdoor cafes, and charming marble-paved streets. Luckily, my visit to Syros coincided with the annual Accordion Festival, so I also got to enjoy a jolt of gypsy jazz along with the locals.
Caroline wound up getting hired by the school to shoot some photos for their website and social media. Werk it, babe!
